Rocking Spring Valley Ranch . . . is dedicated to breeding Quality Foundation Bred Quarter Horses & Belted Galloway Cattle. We are a family operation located in the hills & valleys of Southeast Missouri. Our goal is to get back to the Foundation Bloodlines that made the Quarter Horse so great & to breed good "All-around" and enjoyable horses. All of our horses have had their pedigrees researched and calculated for Foundation & Line breeding percentages. Blondy's Dude, King, Hancock, Driftwood, Blue Valentine, Poco Bueno, & Harlan are just some of the bloodlines carried by our Registered Foundation Quarter Horses. We also strive to breed outstanding foals with the disposition, conformation, and color to compliment their Foundation Bloodlines. Due to their breeding, our foals should be able to excel in any discipline you choose. Their bloodlines go back to champions in Halter, Roping, Reining, Sorting, Barrel Racing, and more.
We produce lots of foals with good color! The American Quarter Horse began as a working ranch horse, but over the years more and more Thoroughbred bloodlines have been bred into the Quarter Horse. We are dedicated to breeding horses that carry the original bloodlines of the American Quarter Horse. For more information about the Foundation Quarter Horse & Foundation Registries please visit our "Foundation Quarter Horse" page.
Rocking Spring Valley Ranch is proud to present TW TSF Little Man & Harlans Hankcock Hank as outstanding studs available to outside mares. They will bring good bloodlines, color, conformation, & disposition to your herd. Please visit our "Stallions" page for for more information, pedigrees, & pictures. You can visit "The Sale Barn" page for details on foals and horses that we have for sale.
We also are breeders of Belted Galloway Cattle. These cattle are a long haired beef animal, and is known to produce the lowest yielding fat & cholesterol meat in domestic cattle. They are a medium sized breed derived from Celtic stock and are a very hardy & efficient breed. They are characterized by the distinctive white belt around their mid section.
